Pregnancy

The body goes through major changes during pregnancy. Numerous unpleasant symptoms may occur, such as back pain, swollen legs, dizziness, fatigue or joint pain.

You will feel relief in the legs and joints immediately when walking in the kybun shoe or standing on the kybun mat. At the same time, you can gently strengthen the musculature of the entire body, which in turn protects the back and the remaining joints against excessive strain.

Definition

Since the body goes through major changes (weight gain, softening of ligaments and soft tissue ...) in a relatively short time during pregnancy, it is especially important to keep the body fit during this time. A fit body tolerates these changes far better and causes fewer symptoms. Furthermore, customised training is the best way to prepare for the impending birth.

With the kybun shoe/kybun mat, you can gently train the body in everyday life and actively counteract existing pregnancy symptoms such as swollen, tired legs or back pain.

Causes

Hormonal changes in the body are responsible for many pregnancy symptoms. Some pregnant women only experience minor symptoms while others experience very severe and limiting changes.

The kybun principle of operation – being proactive

The kybun shoe is very well suited for use during and after pregnancy:

  • Thanks to the floating gait, the kybun shoe relieves the joints, spinal column, veins and therefore the entire body during this time of great physical demands.

  • Actively moving the foot in the kybun shoe trains the core foot and leg musculature, which in turn promotes lymph fluid circulation. Many women suffer from swollen or weak legs during pregnancy and some are often dizzy. Supporting the lymphatic system significantly improves these symptoms and they may even go away entirely.
The effect can be compared to surgical stockings: A surgical stocking provides passive support from the outside, the kybun shoe provides active support from the inside by activating the muscle pump. Both provide optimum support for the lymphatic system.
  • While the ligaments are softer during pregnancy, it is possible to participate in many different sports even while pregnant. This also applies to walking in the kybun shoe. It is important that wearer feels comfortable! In case of noticeable fatigue, lateral/medial rolling of the ankle joint or pain in the kybun shoe, we advise you to take a break until you have recovered.

Long-term consequences

Most pregnancy symptoms can be reduced with activity. Try to integrate moderate exercise into your daily routine as much as possible.

Usually symptoms such as pain or swollen legs, for example, will only get worse if you try to take it easy and avoid exercise.

Initial reactions

Specific initial reactions during pregnancy:

Due to the softness of ligaments during pregnancy, you may feel very unstable in the kybun shoe/on the kybun mat or experience increased back pain/joint pain in the beginning. In this case, please observe the advice in the section ‘Application tips’.

Application tips

  • Take a short kybun shoe/kybun mat break if you experience pain or notice that you are no longer able to keep the foot upright on the soft material of the sole/mat (in case of lateral/medial rolling of the ankle joint).
  • Be sure to maintain an upright posture and avoid taking excessively long steps in the kybun shoe so that you do not bend forward.
  • Keep the toes relaxed and perform the rollover across the entire foot (from the heel to the big toe).

Opinions/customer testimonials

My own background is in research so I am always willing to try out new things. I have seen how helpful the shoes can be. I was particularly impressed when my wife told me that she couldn’t imagine going without these shoes. She says she now needs to go and change all of her other shoes. She is absolutely delighted. The shoes will particularly help pregnant women who were already suffering from pain. But they can also help people who have pain in the musculoskeletal system or neurological problems and I think pregnant women can definitely benefit from wearing them. Women can benefit from wearing kyBoot shoes, whether it is during the pregnancy itself or afterwards in the nursing period where joints are still more elastic and need more care.

I believe that the kyBoot shoe can absorb the impact of walking, which is exactly what makes it easier to move gently. Personal testimonies show that women benefit from the cushioning effects on their joints not only during their pregnancy but afterwards as well. The kyBoot shoes can also help people who already have problems. For example, people who have had a knee operation or are already experiencing pain in their musculoskeletal system can benefit tremendously from wearing kyBoot shoes.

I definitely have a sense of cushioning. When you’re pregnant, you really do have the feeling that everything is becoming soft and expanding and the kybun shoe really does offer cushioning for when you’re walking and standing. I never have swollen legs or feet. I feel fit. Now, I feel secure when I know that I’ll be walking a long distance by foot. I know that I’ll be able to do it.

I would highly recommend wearing kybun shoes during pregnancy. For me, it was the perfect shoe to wear during the day to relieve the increased pressure on my feet and other joints and gently strengthen my body at the same time. I often felt physically tired, but my kybun shoes motivated me to keep moving and remain active during my entire pregnancy. Walking is so comfortable that even on days when you’re tired, you still feel like walking for a few kilometres. And you feel very fit afterwards. Another thing I love about kybun shoes is how they activated circulation in my legs. I suffered from circulatory problems and would often suddenly feel a strong, shooting dizziness sensation, particularly in the mornings. That’s why I was so happy to find a shoe that activated my circulation! Wearing the shows, together with surgical stockings, really made me feel a lot better. I never had the back pain that many pregnant women suffer from. I don’t know if I was just lucky or if it was thanks to my daily exercise in my kybun shoes. I’m pregnant now for the second time and enjoying walking in my kybun shoe to relieve the strain on my body and exercise at the same time.

I’m seven months pregnant, so it’s no wonder my feet and legs are aching. Wearing my kybun boots has relieved the pain. I now have no pain at all and it’s all thanks to the kybun shoe.
